ABB provides drive systems for mining in Canada

abb won a US $28million contract from terrane metals to provide drive systems for its new mount Milligan copper and gold mine in northwest Canada

ABB's solutions will help mines optimize energy utilization and equipment reliability. The new mine is located 155 kilometers northwest of Prince George. The expected annual production of the mine is about 40000 metric tons of copper and 217000 ounces of gold per year

abb's scope of supply for this project the world's advanced fiber vanadium represented by carbon fiber and aramid fiber can be used as a stabilizer and enhancer in titanium alloys.
